How the Technique Works
During the Chao Pinhole© procedure, Dr. Scott Quandt uses a dental needle to make a very small hole in your gums. Then, gum tissue is gently loosened with special instruments which are inserted through the hole. Gum tissue can be expanded and positioned over a recessed portion of your gums from the underside.
The Chao Pinhole© Surgical Technique avoids tissue grafts, which is often the most painful part of surgery. Recovery is easier and requires less time than traditional gum surgery because it's non-invasive. Most patients are able to go about their normal activities the day after their treatment.
